Job description

We are looking for a mid-to-senior QA Engineer to join an international project in the financial services / wealth management domain. This role is focused on test automation, API testing, and end-to-end quality across web and backend systems.

You will work in a modern environment covering web applications, backend services, and microservice architectures, with an opportunity to contribute to automation strategy and quality improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests (API & frontend)

  • Perform API testing and automation (e.g. Postman, REST-based tools)

  • Develop frontend automation (e.g. Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript)

  • Support testing of backend services and microservices

  • Perform end-to-end testing and troubleshooting across the stack

  • Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases

  • Contribute to test strategy, process improvements, and automation initiatives

  • Explore and apply AI-based tools to improve testing efficiency

Requirements:

  • Mid to senior level experience in software testing or software development

  • Strong hands-on experience with test automation

  • Experience with API testing and automation

  • Experience with Cypress (or similar JavaScript-based frameworks)

  • Understanding of backend systems and microservice architectures

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across frontend and backend layers

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Fluent English

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (Vienna / Bratislava / Prague)
