AI Data Engineer (LLM & MLOps Focus)

Job description

We are looking for an experienced AI Data Engineer to design and build modern AI data platforms and LLM-powered solutions. This role is focused on implementation and delivery of new AI use cases, not long-term maintenance - ideal for engineers who enjoy building, innovating, and solving complex problems.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement end-to-end AI data platforms in the Cloud (Azure/AWS) and on premise.

  • Design, build, and deliver scalable data pipelines for AI and analytics workloads

  • Build and operate MLOps pipelines (training, validation, deployment, monitoring)

  • Orchestrate workflows using Airflow, Kubeflow, or similar tools

  • Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures

  • Develop LLM-powered applications (prompt pipelines, embeddings, agents)

  • Work with vector databases and optimize retrieval performance

  • Build APIs and microservices to expose AI capabilities

  • Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes environments

  • Implement monitoring and observability for data pipelines and AI systems

  • Contribute to AI infrastructure design, including hybrid and on-premise setups

What You Will Bring

  • Strong experience in data engineering within AI/ML environments

  • Solid software engineering skills (OOP, clean code, testing, design patterns)

  • Strong proficiency in Python

  • Experience with MLOps practices and tooling

  • Hands-on experience with LLMs in production environments

 Core AI Capabilities

  • Proven experience with RAG architectures and vector databases

  • Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)

  • Strong understanding of embeddings, retrieval strategies, and prompt engineering

 Platform & Engineering Skills

  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS (AKS/EKS, Lambda/Functions, S3/Data Lake, Redshift/Synapse, SageMaker/Azure ML, CloudWatch/Monitor etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization

  • Experience building REST APIs / microservices

  • Advanced knowledge of NoSQL databases

  • Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability

  • Experience with Airflow, Kubeflow, or similar platforms

Advantageous

  • Experience with PostgreSQL (including extensions such as vector storage)

  • Experience implementing and configuring Elasticsearch

  • Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Go or Java

  • Experience with GPU infrastructure or distributed AI workloads

  • Experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and monitoring

  • Exposure to on-premise or hybrid AI deployments
