Job description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Architecture Definition: Define and own end‑to‑end solution architecture for customer‑centric digital platforms, with a strong focus on loyalty programs, digital incentives, and ecosystem‑based services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long‑term platform strategy.

  • Cloud‑Native Architecture (AWS)
    Design and govern cloud‑native solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), emphasizing scalability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency. Architect solutions capable of handling high transaction volumes, peak loads driven by campaigns, and near‑real‑time processing of digital rewards and incentives.

  • Solution Design: Design application, data and integration architecture, including API‑first (REST / event‑driven) service design, data flow design, and evaluation of alternative solutions.

  • Integration & Interoperability: Design integration scenarios across internal systems and external partners (including API, ESB, MQ) ensuring compliance with architectural principlesand enabling interoperability between financial services, non‑financial services, and external partners, supporting ecosystem‑driven customer journeys and reuse of shared platform capabilities across multiple use cases.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain architectural documentation according to defined standards (ArchiMate, UML) and tools (Confluence, Enterprise Studio).

  • Non-Functional Requirements: Collaborate on defining non-functional requirements (performance, availability, scalability) and on infrastructure and security design (including data protection, fraud prevention, and auditability) with Technology and Security Architects.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Present proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences at various management levels.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, IT analysts, ICT architects, and other solution architects to design complex solutions.

  • Vendor Management: Communicate with internal and external suppliers during the preparation of detailed functional and technical specifications.

  • Implementation Support: Provide consultation and oversight during solution development, deployment across environments, and testing phases.

  • Compliance & Governance: Review and approve detailed functional and integration designs to ensure compliance with architectural standards, IT strategy, technology trends and regulatory and security standards

  • Repository Management: Maintain the architecture repository and solution models using appropriate tools.

 

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication in both Slovak and English.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Strong architectural experience with AWS and cloud‑native patterns

    • Knowledge of architectural and security standards.

    • Experience designing SOAP/REST/MQ services and integration solutions.

    • Familiarity with API management and microservices architecture.

  • Domain Knowledge:

    • Digital loyalty programs and reward mechanisms

    • Digital value concepts (earning, accumulation, redemption, expiration)

    • Ecosystem and partner‑based business models

    • Customer journeys driven by intent and personalization

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in banking, fintech, e‑commerce, or large‑scale digital platforms

    • Experience with complex, multi‑integration environments

  • Soft Skills:

    • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and learning new technologies quickly.

    • Flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

    • Strong analytical thinking with a pragmatic, delivery‑oriented mindset

    • Ability to balance short‑term business needs with long‑term architectural vision.

  • Tools & Standards:

    • Experience with architecture modeling tools (e.g., Sparx EA, Enterprise Studio BizzDesign)

    • Familiarity TOGAF, SAFe and agile delivery models.
